The Stentor Student II violin is recommended by teachers and music services for its quality and reliability. The violin is made from solid tonewoods, in Stentor's unique workshop environment, producing an instrument with good tone, a responsive sound and reliable performance. The pegs, nut and saddle are ebony and the violin is fitted with branded steel core strings and a quality composite tailpiece with integral adjusters. All our instruments have inlaid purfling. The Stentor Student II is the ideal violin for the beginner and comes complete with a lightweight case with burgundy red integral cover with safety reflectors: fitted interior with accessory pocket, two bow holders and case blanket; carrying straps, full lid music pocket and external shoulder rest pocket. It also includes a good quality student wood bow with natural horsehair and full mounted ebony frog
Brand new as it was in the shop from which I got it (shop closed due to retirement). Stentor's leaflet, and the cellophane on the straps, are still in place, it is completely unusued. The only thing is that one string had broken. Not remotely worth trying to find another Stentor factory string so it is having an upgrade to Prelude strings (those are £18.48 at thestringzone which is probably the lowest you will find)
I would say it is untouched by human hand since, for some reason that escapes me, some buyers seem to be mortally offended at the idea that human hands have touched it, but yes I did take it out of the case to check it all and I will be tuning it. Gosh!! Seriously, this is a better buy than from mega retailers who make a virtue of not opening the box.
