These are good, don't just write them off!

There will eventually be twelve of these available, and only twelve.  They were made in Romania (not by Gliga or Hora or by the maker of the superior European instruments, but in a small workshop).  They are made well and of good wood aged at least five years.  One violin has a poplar back.  The others are the usual spruce and maple.

They came to me in the white (unvarnished and with no fittings at all) and have been varnished (hand brushed spirit varnish) by a graduate of the Newark violin making school, who is also a luthier in his own right.  He will also be setting them up. This means that legally they can be described as English.

Set up details: numbers 1 and 2 - A grade African ebony fingerboard.  Three tree Despiau bridge.  Planetary perfection pegs. Bavarian Alpine Spruce soundpost, wood aged at least five years.  Strings: Evah Pirazzi or Larsen Il Cannone.  Each violin is individually labelled.  These are high quality strings and fittings and yes they cost!  The rosewood one has a poplar back.  All others are maple.

Numbers 3 and 4: Indian ebony fingerboard, one tree Despiau bridge, good quality soundpost. Dominant strings and Glasser tailpiece.  Wood pegs.
