Glasser braided carbonfibre 3005BCF viola bow

Braided means that the carbon fibres are solid through the bow rather than it having a hollow core like the cheaper bows.  Metal tip.  Available in both nickel and sterling silver mounting and with round or octagonal stick.  The sterling silver version is available with ebony or snakewood frog.

The answer to the obvious question "are the sticks the same for nickel and silver mounted bows" is "yes and no".  The sticks are all made together, but there are still variations.  The better sticks are polished and used for the silver and gold mounted bows.  Sticks with cosmetic flaws are used for the BCFX series.  Sticks in the middle are used for the nickel mounted BCF and BCFK bows.
