What with the carbonfibre violin coming soon and now another addition to the Glasser bow range, I am very glad that I was able to start dealing with Glasser again on a regular basis.
Glasser's latest bow (called a hybrid) has red nylon threads woven in amongst the braided carbon fibre. Other than that, it is the same as the BCF round stick bow with nickel mounting. Apart from looking pretty, the effect of the nylon is to soften the bow a bit and make it suitable for those who prefer a more flexible, less stiff bow. It will be here soon and will be retailing at £250 (violin). 4/4 only.
