Back length 14 1/8 inches
This is a good violin. The label reads CH.J.B. Collin-Mezin Fils, luthier Paris, Rue du Faub Poissonniere, no. 10, 1899.
Yes it came from an auction; so do virtually all antique violins purchased by dealers. Yes you could go to an auction yourself. Yes I expect to make a profit. Just saying that because I have had customers in the past who seem to expect me to sell an antique instrument to them for what it cost me. Um, no.
